Analytical cookies
Tech Expat uses Google Analytics to gain insight into how the website is used. Tech Expat has applied the following privacy-friendly settings:

IP anonymisation is enabled: the final octet of the IP address is masked before the data is processed, meaning the data cannot be directly traced back to an individual.

The ‘Data sharing’ setting with Google has been disabled: Tech Expat has not permitted Google to use the data collected via Analytics for other Google products or services.

Tech Expat does not currently use marketing or tracking cookies for advertising purposes and does not track visitors via external advertising networks. Should this change in the future, this cookie policy will be updated in advance and users will be asked for their consent again via the cookie banner.
Social media buttons and embedded content.

The website may contain links to the LinkedIn company page and personal LinkedIn profile of Tech Expat. By clicking on such a link, you leave the Tech Expat website and are redirected to the LinkedIn platform. Tech Expat has no control over the cookies placed by LinkedIn once you visit their platform. 5. Transfers of data outside the EU/EEA
Google Analytics processes data on servers that may be located outside the European Union. Google LLC is established in the United States and has committed to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection by Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795. In addition, Google uses Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission as a supplementary safeguard. Tech Expat has restricted data sharing with Google by disabling the ‘Data sharing’ setting.
6. Your rights
Where the processing of data via cookies constitutes the processing of personal data, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
